Originally built to house Spencer’s department store, the Spencer Building’s mixed gothic revival and art deco exterior has been part of the West Hastings streetscape since 1928.

For the past four years, a talented team of engineers, masons and restorers have been working tirelessly to preserve the exterior of this local architectural gem for future generations. Their hard work and expertise has been recognized with this award from Heritage BC.
